Problem solving today is heavily dependent on data. A lot of public data provide by govt orgs, non-profits is available but is scattered, not versioned and is not checked for its quality and integrity. If we are to build data models that will impact decisions in our society, then the underlying data should be highly reliable, accessible and everybody should be utilizing the same info. If public data is made available as a blockchain, aspects like versioning, updates and access are taken care of. It also enables all of the data to be in one common repository.
